The Spirit of Muncie Award was created in 2002 to honor Al Rent and his support and volunteerism with the Muncie-Delaware County Chamber of Commerce. In Al Rent’s honor, this annual award will be presented at the April 2nd Muncie on the Move breakfast. Nominees for this award should volunteer for the Chamber of Commerce and be role models, a respected leader and a valued community volunteer. Nominees should also be motivational and maintain a highly positive attitude.
Nominee Criteria
- Been a Chamber member or worked for a Chamber member organization for at least three years
- Volunteers or has volunteered for the Muncie-Delaware County Chamber
- Demonstrates a positive attitude in all aspects of life
- Donates personal time to help improve the community
- Strives to make Muncie and Delaware County a better place to live and work
