For more than a century, Muncie was known as a significant hub of manufacturing, serving the home of Ball Corporation, Indiana Steel and Wire, Indiana Bridge Company, Warner Gear, Delco Remy, General Motors, Westinghouse Electric, and others.

Academy for Community Leadership – A 10-week program teaching about Muncie’s history, strengths, and future aspirations. Offered by the Greater Muncie Chamber of Commerce and Ball State University.

Muncie on the Move – Business networking breakfast offered by the Greater Muncie Chamber of Commerce every other month.
Muncie Young Professionals – Fostering a community of engaged, empowered, and connected young professionals.
Shafer Leadership Academy – Providing inclusive leadership development so people, organizations, and communities can reach their full potential.
Women In Business Unlimited – Providing professional development opportunities for business-focused women in East Central Indiana.
Consistent with its “maker” roots, Muncie continues to support vibrant small businesses and start-ups.
East Central Indiana Small Business Development Center – Offers one-on-one business coaching, training, and strategic planning facilitation to help ECI small businesses start, grow, and flourish. Hosted by Ball State University.
Innovation Connector – A full-service business incubator that offers resources and support to help entrepreneurs succeed.
MadJax – Includes a co-working environment, makerspace, and collaborative network of entrepreneurs, independent professionals, freelancers, and start-up businesses.
