Government Relations

The Greater Muncie Chamber of Commerce works to be the voice of business within our community and to our elected representatives at all levels of government. We strive to be THE voice of business throughout the county, at the State House, and in our Nation’s capitol. We work with the Indiana and U.S. Chambers of Commerce to ensure our federal representatives know how Muncie-Delaware County businesses feel about the laws they are considering.

What We Do
We attend meetings of the Muncie City Council, Delaware County Council, and Delaware County Commissioners and when necessary, stand up for the rights of our member businesses. We also track legislation at the State level and, when called for, provide testimony to House and Senate Committees to make sure Muncie-Delaware County’s business voice is heard. You can always contact your Chamber to find out more.

Educating Members
Educating our members, and the community at large, is another way we strive to serve. The Chamber believes that a well-informed population will be able to make better, more informed choices and decisions for the betterment of our community.

Whether the concern is public safety, transportation, or the health and well-being of the community, we are engaged in the dialogue and stand ready to offer assistance to be sure we continue to move our community forward.

Government Activities & Legislation

Legislative Updates
