Academy for Community Leadership

The Academy for Community Leadership (ACL) is a vehicle to promote our community, its leaders, and the industries they serve while providing valuable networking opportunities for participants. Over the course of ten weekly sessions, participants are exposed to our local history, business community, government, health care, cultural awareness, education, and more.

For 46 years, community leaders have participated in this beneficial program. Over the course of 10 weeks, participants can expect an engaging, interactive experience where they network with fellow classmates and speakers, hear from community leaders in various industries, learn more about Muncie-Delaware County, and participate in a community service project.

Testimonials:
“There is so much more to a City than Main Street. This program gives participants the opportunity to learn “the rest of the story.” I feel now fully engaged with my city and willing to help.”
– Cyndy Kern, IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital
